The key is whether Canada is your bona fide home.
The basis US immigration officers use to determine whether a Canadian citizen is no longer a temporary visitor is if the person has given up Canadian home indefinitely/permananetly and not intend to move back.
So if when asked, you can show your ties/home/work to Canada, then you are still fine to admit as a visitor.
