(EAD) I765 filing or e-filing

Does anybody know any real benefits of online filing I-765 (EAD) [e-filing]? It still requires you to mail in supporting documents and to go to a local INS office to take pictures and fingerprints? It does not save time at all.

Anybody still filing I765 through regular mail? how did it get approved? Thanks.
