in theory TN suppose to be temporary, cannot have immigration intent. But some people do get green cards while holding TN. It depends on your luck. Heard that most of them got green card from Nebraska center. The trick is that if you file I-485 while on TN, you cannot renew it inside the U.S. b/c the form asks if you applied adjustment. You must renew it at the border and if they didn't ask you this question, you're lucky and can have chance to get green card. If they ask you at the border of this question, you're stuck.
