Although my company hired a lawyer for me. I wrote all the application documents and research achievements as well as how will it benefit the country, collected all the reference letter, evidence of citation and publications. A lawyer just helps you to organize those documents in a legal, more presentable package. But you have to have the right "stuff" for EB1 and NIW applications. Lawyers can not create such "stuff".
