information reliable?

During my green card application I applied for in the category of Outstanding Professor or researcher. My attorney let me apply by myself that means I signed my form I-140 by myself. According to the new acts this category must be support by employer. But she did not know. We submitted the application and 4 months later the center wrote to us to let us switch to NIW and they said they would approve the case once we stated that. We did it and yes we got the approval letter 3 weeks later. Recently, I leaned how to check my cases because my I-485 is in pending. I went to the website and found that the case (I-140) is still in processing and my I-485 was transferred to the local! How can I do? Should I call the center or the local? Please give me some suggestion if you have the kind of experience.
