my parents renewed and did not had too much problem to get visa again. but i did hear renew added difficulties when they apply for visas again.

my parents stayed 12 months with us the first time. in 2002. they went back in 2003 and stay 15 months before they applied again in 2004. they got it again. but the consulant did tell them not to renew this time or it will add difficulties on their side next time.

But i still think as long as they do not have intention to overstay and still take china as their home, it should be fine.
