If you are going to accumulate your work experience, you have to have a visa that allows you to work. J1 is the choice, and your sponsor is that organization. They will find an organization or Institution to issue DS-2019. But J1 visa may face 2 year-home country residence. If you want to immigrate to US, you have to get a waiver or stay in your home country for 2 years before you can get green card. Be careful about this.
