H1 and canada PR

My canada PR will expireon soon. I am hoding H1 in usa. If i stay in usa, i will loose canada PR. I am waiting for LC now.
Question: i give up canada PR and wait for LC and apply GC later?
or
i go back to canada and wait for GC in canada????
