Yes

2. 那EAD什麽時候能批下來呢?在I-140之後嗎?
Yes

3. LG也必須申請EAD嗎? EAD下來後, 他還是H1身份嗎?
He does not have to apply for EAD. He can use his current H1B to work. However, if he applies for the EAD and uses it for his job, then he will automatically lose his H1B status. The bad part for this situation is that if the 485 gets denied, he'll be out of status.
