Learnt a lot from this site, would like to share my experience:
140/485 filled in Vermont on May 08, 2003, Outstanding bound with the employer.
Could not get H1 visa in Beijing due to background check, used AP back to US in Nov 2003 and served the same employer until Feb 2004.
Missed FP in Feb 2004 as relocating out of the state.
H1B lost and work for new employer with EAD.
FP rescheduled in July 2004.
Both attorneys from previous and current companies have repeatedly warned me that my case was dying as changing job before 140 was approved. Had to fill another 485 joining my hu*****and's pending case in Nov 2004.
Then,
Received approval of my first 485 on Dec 27, 2004.
Passport stamped on Dec 29, and GC arrived today.
Neither attorney nor me was notified the approval of 140.
So, just be patient, someday the miracle will knock your door.
