Actually he stays in Canada every week for three days or four days (Friday to Sunday or Friday to next Monday). And the reason he comes to Canada is that I and our baby are living in Canada, which means he has ties in Canada. I don't know if he can still apply for Canadian citizenship under the new rule, but he certainly meets the requirement for living in Canada for two years out of five years.
