Two concurrent H-1B petitions?

Current company filed the H-1B extension 12/1/04 (receipt notice) using standard method.
A new company gave me an offer and would like to expedite H-1B transfer (premium processing) by 2/1/05.
What if the expedited petition gets approved first, say 2/15/05, for the future period 4/15/05 to 12/15/07 and the extension gets approved later, say 3/10/04, for the same future period?
Will the extension approval overrule the H-1B transfer approval?
