please help nurse immigration!

I will file my 140 and 485 concurrently at end of this month for my nurse immigration.Because the attorney will charge my husand higher legal fee.So my hu*****and decided to file his case separately with mine.我們可不可以不通過我的laywer.after my 140 approve (probably few months later) and file his 485 and do not inform my attorney,add his name to my case.這樣做行不行，doese any body has the same experience like me.I appreciate any suggestions.My case in California.
