EB1 485 pending at NSC 01-2002

My 485 pending since Jan. 2002 at NSC. Both my wife and I had twice FP. The 2nd one done in last Dec. is going to expired soon. Last Oct. NSC asked for evidence - employment letter. Since last Oct., we hear nothing from them. I called NSC every month in this Oct. and Nov. and Dec. since my case is already long overdue. In Oct. they replied a letter said that my case pending for FBI security check. Nov. and Dec. they updated on the web page - said that they sent out letter. But I never actually received letters from them. I asked help from Senator. He told me by letter that my case is pending for FBI name check. It is terrible experience for us at NSC.

Since Our 485pending is due to the FBI name check. I sent FAX and email to FBI (according to people's suggestion from this board). I do not get any reply from FBI.

My wife got layoff end of Oct. (she was using her own H1-B visa). Now our GC struck on my name check (her name check is done). Many job openning requires US citizen or permanent resident. She is having difficlut to find a job and she can not claim unemployment insurance (she filed on Nov. 1 for EAD after layoff). Even the EAD may take 3 months.

I do not know what to do now. Anyone can help?
