Have questions regarding the tax transcripts for the prior 5 years. Thanks for your help.
1/. submitted the Naturalization Application N-400 form recently. Got a letter notice that no fingerprints (biometrics appointment ) is required as USCIS can reuse previously captured fingerprints. Question:
-- is it necessay to attach the tax transcripts as Unsolicited Documents and upload them into application online?
-Not need. It is not required. USCIS will check your tax record during background check.
-- Does it shorten the case review time if attching the transcripts now as part of the application?
-Don't think so.
The N-400 form doesn't ask for attaching the tax transcripts. It may be required to bring the tax transcripts to interview in the future.
-Not need to bring it for interview either.
Not been out of US for more than 6 months.
2/. downloaded the tax transcripts from IRS website after creating the IRS online account. Is the downloaded copy ok to satisfy the naturalization purpose?
-Not need. See above.
