要等I-130 approval first and then change from F3 to F1 status不是要等12年嗎？那12 年以後再改嗎？

-Normally, it takes about 5 to 6 years for the I-130 to be approved (3 to 4 years in some cases), depends on the I-130 categogy. Of course, you can send the request to USCIS for the upgrading now by providing the copy of I-130 Receipt Notice, but USCIS will not forward your case to NVC until I-130 is approved. Also, your son had better not get married again after you request I-130 is upgrading, otherwise, you need to request downgrading again.
