這次我看到485要求的材料裏有結婚證書，這個是一定要的嗎？幾年前給我媽辦綠卡的時候隻交了出生證明也通過了。父親是不是不一樣？

-Correct. Your father needs to provide his marriage certificate to prove that you were born after your parents got married. Thus, he does not need to provide the proof of his child support to you.

是親生父親，不是繼父，我的出生證書可以證明。以前他們辦過結婚證明公證，但是有好幾年了。不知道結婚證明公證會不會有過期的問題。

-No problem. The certificate is valid for ever.

一起交上去如果要求重辦就麻煩了。父母年齡很大了，再回國補辦材料太折騰。
