-Based on the immigration law, your properties can be used for the I-864, But the officers in the US Consulate may have thieir own consideration or requirements. I personally have no idea about the rerquirement as the lawyer mentioned. You may contatc the US Consulate in Guangzhou or just provide what you have (properties) to see what happen. If the US Consulate do not accept the properties, then they will inform you, anyway.
