父母2019年回國後，因為疫情就沒能回來，去年四月份母親去世，父親想過來和我們一起住。
詢問了一下律師，說申請SB-1的幾率不好，不如直接入境，看看怎麽樣。
兩種情況都要說不能回美國的理由，下麵可能成立嗎？
1. 中國的疫情控製直到今年才結束，期間回美國非常困難；
2. 母親去世後，按照風俗父親必須在家鄉守一年。
-These reasons probably are not enough to justify for SB-1 visa application or for entry to US directly. It seems impossible for your father to get the SB-1 visa. Also, it is difficult to predict what will happen at the port of entry if your father just returns to US using the green card because of his overstay in China for too long time. If the immigration officer at the port of entry is nice, he may be Ok to enter US, but if the officer is tough, he may have trouble to enter US or he may be required to go to the immigration court after he enters US.
So, in my opinion, because your father is not young and is not very healthy either, he had better abandon the green card and then, apply for B2 visa to enter US. If he wants to get the geen card again, you may sponsor him 90 days later after he enters US using B2 visa as you did before.
如果直接飛加拿大，從陸地回來（這樣我可以陪同），進關的可能性如何？即使進關，是不是得打官司？
另外父親是不是放棄綠卡，申請簽證，到了這邊重新申請綠卡？
父親身體不太好，不能折騰，請問這種情況下最好的方案是什麽？
