So, the child has to wait at least about 20 years to get the green card from now on and the child cannot marry before he/she gets the green card-it seems not reality. If the child gets married, then the parent has to become a US citizen to sponsor the child's green card-which takes more years.
So, the child had better go to study in US and then, find a job to ask the employer to sponsor him/her green card as many of us did.
