我爸是2018 年2月拿到的綠卡。 他以前也來過幾次美國，但是都是住了較短的時間就回國了。 他在2017年的6月至2021 年9 月 的大部分時間是住在美國的，雖然在這段時間裏也回了兩次國，但時間都較短。 因為我媽已經去世，我們原來打算是讓讓我爸和我在美國居住養老的。但是，2020 年以後的疫情，很多活動都取消了，老人在美國待不住了，堅決要求回國。所以隻好讓他在2021 年9 月底回了中國。

本來我想他住一段時間還會回來。結果他在2022 年1 月再婚了，現在和新老伴一起住得不錯。 我覺得他因該不會在美國常住了。所以我想給他停了在美國這邊買的健康保險等。但是，我剛問了他，他還想保綠卡。

不知現在還來得急嗎？應該如何做？

-Technically, his green card is void. It is impossible for him to keep the green card valid when he lives in China for a long period of time. he may just abandon his green card (file I-407) and then, applies for the B2 visa to visit you. If he wants to get the green card again in the future, you can sponsor him again as you did before.
