父母人在中國，可以申請綠卡延期嗎？

父母2019年底回中國，因為covid難以過來也不太願意現在過來。綠卡4月過期。請問有什麽辦法renew或延期嗎？如果過期了，將來來美國是不是得辦簽證？是不是簽證很容易被拒？
