請教8老師：申請到綠卡後，在國外讀大學，怎麽維係綠卡身份？

幫一個朋友打聽個情況： 他有一個男孩，生長在加拿大，一直跟媽媽住，現在在加拿大讀大一。如果他爸爸申請他美國綠卡，在讀大學期間，他怎麽維係美國綠卡身份？

 

Re-entry permit 是不是唯一的出路？

-Yes. He can apply for reentry permit to stay in Canada for > one year < two years, then come back to US to renew it before it expires. He can leave US after he conducts the biometrics for reentry permit application , not need to wait for the reentry permit approval.
