8老師好，又來了。

我還在等學校的I20，在學校的係統裏麵填了eform Change of Status, 學校網頁上給的估計處理時間是10個工作日，我在想批準I20前，他們是要跟USCIS聯絡嗎？

-No. Only you sign the I-539 change of status, then the school can send the change of status application to USCIS if you want the school to do it for you.

要把我的信息輸入USCIS 係統，通過了才發I20？是這個程序嗎？

-They need to send your information to SEVIS to get he SEVIS ID# for you bewfore they issue the I-20 to you.

還有，今天我先生拿到新工作OFFER，我申請I20也同時為先生申請了F2，我是不是要馬上告訴學校不需要轉身份了？

-If you don't want to study, just tell the school that you withdraw the application, thus the school will not issue the I-20 for you. Then, you can file H4 extension toegther with your spouse's H1. Your spouse obsolutely does not need to change his status to F2.

但是也不知道新公司是否來得及在未來兩周內（grace period 隻有兩周了）提交H1b transfer, 我先生倒是跟HR說了這個情況。
