我是加拿大公民， 我父親申請我以成年未婚子女身份來美。
今年1月收到I-797/NOTICE OF ACTION FROM SVC，PETTION HAS BEEN APPRPVED.
請問
1. 大概還要等多長時間才能拿到簽證
-About 7 to 8 years form now on if you don't get married during this period of time. If you get married any time before you get the green card, then it is about 13 years from now on.
2. 我父親得肺癌，如果他有不測，我的申請是否會取消？
-If the I-130 is approved before your father passes away (if any), then this case will still be valid as long as you find one of your relatives who is a US citizen or green card holder (e.g. your mother, sibling) to the be substitute sponsor. If it is pending or approved after your father passes away, then the case will be invalid.

-No. But you may ask your mother to file a separate I-130 for you, just in case.
