我的好朋友的父親綠卡離開美國4年後如何入關？ 他沒有申請AP, 也沒有報稅和擁有房產。 他媽媽是綠卡倒是每年都過來。他父親原來是想離開美國後就不再回來了。現在又想回來看看。我想到唯一的理由就是身體原因： 他在國內生病住院過幾次。如果這個理由可以被接受， 需要什麽樣的證明材料？

或者說不填寫那個放棄綠卡的表格， 回來後打官司？他這次來也沒有想在這裏待一輩子，但是有個綠卡就有醫保（在加州），在美國這段時間放心一些. 謝謝！
-His green card has been void and thus, he cannot use it to reenter US. He had better abandon his green card in any one of the US Consulates in China, and then, apply for the B-2 visa at the same time or later, and use B-2 visa to enter US.
