請教老師：

我的綠卡 今年九月12日到期， 我去年10月份遞的 N-400公民申請， 目前隻打了 指紋， 公民申請再沒有進展， 我現在應該 renew我的綠卡嗎？還是等待公民申請 ， 是不是過了 9月12 日， 如果不renew綠卡， 我的身份就不合法了， 不能 工作了。
-If you do not ravel outside US, or you do not need to change your employer/job, you do not need to renew your green card. Your green card expiration does not affect your permanent resident status. Just like your Chinese passport expires, and it will not affect your Chinese citizenship.
