我家情況比較複雜，懇請幫助。
母親去年10月來美，父親今年2月來美。他們想一起申請綠卡。因為被建議父親入境60天再申請比較好，這樣的話就正好到4月，而母親4月就恰恰已經居留6個月了。
我學習了8老師以前的帖子，知道逾期居留理論上不影響綠卡申請。可是最近移民政策議論紛紛，父母很擔心不想有逾期記錄，怕萬一綠卡被拒了以後申請簽證就難了。我想問問8老師，如果在母親合理居留一個星期前寄出綠卡申請，保證移民局簽收。是不是就不算逾期居留？

我聽說收據要2-3周才能收到，那麽收據上的日期是申請到達移民局的時間嗎？
-Probably no. The IO needs to take a few days to put the information into thier system, and the receipt date nomrally is day when the information is put into the system.
