我現在是H-1B， 我剛回國，昨天回美，現在查了一下我的most recent I-94 上的 Admit Until Date : 12/08/2017.
但是我H-1B 上的valid from 12/08/2015 to 09/30/2018.
而且現在的I-94 上的number 跟原來H1-B上I-94 的 number 不一樣。-It is normal because this is the new I-94. The old I-94 was invalid when you left US.
我的問題是：
1. 我的護照到05/2018到期，是不是因為這樣才縮短到護照到期前半年？
-Probably yes.
2. 我的H1B是不是按新的I-94的日期為準？
-Yes.
但是那樣的話我是不是在Admit Until Date（12/08/2017） 前半年就要申請延期？
-Your employer needs to file the H-1 extension application before 12/08/2017, and can file it in advance up to 6 months.
3. 我是不是可以跟CBP申請更改到09/30/2018(H-1B上的日期）？
-You can go to the local CBP Deferred Inspections Office to see whether they can fix it for you. Find the CBP Office in your area at:
還是要等護照RENEW 後再跟CBP申請更改？
-If CBP office does not fix it for you, your employer has to file extension (see above).
4.要不要向EMPLOYER匯報新的I-94有效期？
-Yes.
