我於2010年通過雇主的 EB2 拿到綠卡, 老公一直在國內工作, 後來讓他 joint filing, 但是拖拖拉拉搞了好幾年 (因為他並不打算到美國居住)。最近他說還是想要這個綠卡, 在國內工作, 經常兩邊跑, 所以我又re-file, 剛剛收到廣州移民簽證通知。我想問的是: 他拿到綠卡後, 還在中國工作, 可以申請 AP, 但這也隻能維持兩年, 再續被批準的可能性很小?
-Right. Techniaclly, there is not limit for the reentry permit renewal times, but normally it is Ok to rfenew one more time, and maybe it is didfficult to get the renewal approval if you renew it for more than one or two time.
而且一拿到綠卡就申請 AP 是否合適?
-Fine.
象他這種情況, 能常年保住綠卡嗎, 如果隻是三四個月來美國住幾天? 還有什麽方法住在中國, 還能保住綠卡?
-No way. Green card is for you to live in US permanently, not use it as a crossing-border card.
還有在國內的收入需要報稅吧?
-Yes.
是不是有一個九萬多刀的免稅?
-I don't know.
