我兒子收到一封信來自 selective service system

前天收到一封信是關於Official Registeration Acknowledgement （selective service system for army). 我兒子是F-1學生簽證，國際學生辦公室說 “he is not required to register". 我們並沒有自己注冊，不知誰給他注冊的，所有個人信息顯示的都對。在信上顯示“last action date" 剛好是他生日剛滿18歲一個月。 

如果我們告知 selective service system 他們搞錯了並退回這封信，將來會影響我兒子“入籍" 或"申請綠卡"嗎？
