"If you dont want to re-apply H1 visa, you can use AP to enter, and you still can go back to the same company to work. But your status is not H anymore. your status become i-485 pending."
Could you please help clarify the above statement further based on my case?
I'm currently on H1B status (no visa stamp) and I-485 is pending. I applied I131 but not EAD. Our attorney told us that I can use AP to come back and continue to use H1B to work, so I didn't bother to apply the EAD. By reading all the above posts, I'm now worried that I do need an EAD since I will lose H1B status by using AP to come back.
Am I understanding you right?
Thanks for your help!
