如果給父母提交綠卡申請， 10年B2簽證還有效嗎？

父親用10年b2簽證去年來美國，想給他申請綠卡。一旦我們提交他的申請，他的b2簽證還有效嗎？

擔心的是，如果他的綠卡申請沒有被批準，那他還有其他選擇來美國嗎？
