When I send I-140/I-485 together, you will become an I-484 justification status and receive EAD card. Meanwhile I give up H1-B status. This is a risk for me if my I-140 will be rejected. He suggests that if my case were not strong enough, I would better to separate so that you have a legal status to appeal or resubmit I-140 again if the first I140 has been rejected.
