我父親綠卡2016年3月份到期，提前6個月的話今年10份可以遞交材料，但是不知道要多久才能收到新綠卡。
國內一個很近的親戚12月20號結婚，父母一定要回去，所以爸爸想2016年的一月中下旬回美國，然後遞交材料，申請renew綠卡，但是我擔心太晚，會不會在他回來的時候入境有問題。

If he will come back after the old card expires, then he needs to bring the I-90 filing receipt notice and his passports to the local USCIS Office to get the green card stamp on the passort, and use the stamp to travel to China.
想谘詢下一般renew都需要多久？綠卡還有半年過期可以處境並在過期前順利回到美國嗎？我父親的這種情況大家有沒有什麽其他好的建議呢？
