My son changed his name during the 485 process, and we filed name change documents. His new EAD/AP card was showing his new name, which is good. A few months later, our 485 got approved, and then followed by green card. On both the 485 approval letter and green card, it was showing his old name. What can we do ? What's the quick and easiest way ? inforpass ? or go to lawyer ? He needs to go out of US at the end of Auguest.
-Technically, your child can file I-90 to USCIS for the replacement with correct name. No I-90 filing fee in this case. You may contact USCIS (either call or visit local office) to see whether your child's correct name is in the USCIS system before filing I-90.

After filing I-90. our child can bring the I-90 receipt notice and his passport to the local USCIS Office get the green card stamp and use the stamp to travel before receiving the new card.
