Timeline and Landing Quesition

Dear buddies,
I got final approval notice for CA immigration. I hold F1 visa in OPT. Is it risky to land CA using OPT for coming back US? Do I need to transfer to H1 status and is it better than OPT?

Oct, sent out application
Nov, 2003 1st letter
Jun, 2004 2 nd letter, interview waived
Aug,2004 ME, FP
Oct, 2004 passports requested
