8老師，您好！想請教個美國國內轉身份的問題。

我現在是F1，由於一時沒找到工作，在語言學校掛了一段，想轉成F2了。請問是不是申請一提交，我就可以合法在美國等待簽證？

還是得想辦法維持F1身份一直到F2的簽證批下來（如繼續在語言學校注課）？在等待F2簽證批準中間，如果找到公司願意給我辦H1B，那麽我是不是需要撤回申請F2的材料？
-You can not withdraw the F-2 application, otherwise your status will have a gap and your H-1 application may be denied. So, the problem will be that if your H-1 application is approved before your F-2 approval, then the F-2 status will override the H-1 status, thus your final status will F-2 and you have to go to China to get the H-1 visa to come back. Of course, if your F-1 is approved first, then H-1 is approved later, then you will be OK to continue to stay in US to work.

還是新提交的H1B使前麵那個申請自動失效了？
