請教各位老師一個問題。我有個朋友今年拿綠卡第十年了，十月份綠卡過期。但是他現在人在國內工作，沒法長期連續的待在美國。請問在這種情況下，他應該如何去renew綠卡呢？

我看到綠卡renew從申請到新卡寄出需要相當長的時間，在申請後收到新卡前如果當前綠卡失效應該如何應對呢？多謝！
