I-485 application type quesiton

Hi,
trying to fill out I-485 forms for my parents, under Part 2 Application type, 
a = An Immigrant petition giving me an immediately avaialble immigration visa number that has been approved etc....
b = My spouse or parent applied for adjustment of status or was granted lawful permnant residence in an immigrant visa category that allows derivative stauts for spouses and children.

I know my dad will select a, my question is for my mom, should she chose a or b in this case?
