請教8老師和各位老師！

老公替我申期綠卡的綠卡，8月1號遞交的，同時遞交了EAD, 今天收到ead 退回的信，並附有寫給他們的check，其他的check他們都要了，原信如下：
“recently you submitted an application for immigration benefits, that form was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application,your check is being returned to you with notice. no additional action by you is required at this time"

這是指申期ead不需要繳費用呢，還是我們提交的不是時候，還是申期被拒絕了？
