回複：Teacher 8, Can AP (H1B) and H4 visa enter US custom at the sa

Teacher 8, Because my older H1B expire soon and is disabled for applying for H4 because of my previously using AP,  under your guideline  I have submitted an H1B extention for my wife to applying a H4 Visa in China.  Now here is one question: If my wife have applied successfully the H4 visa using my renewal H1B. I plan to go back to china (with AP document at hands) to pick her up to US. I wonder it is normal case that the custom officer can let us in at the same time (same air flight), one with H4 visa and one with AP? If it is tricky,  I wonder if it needs to let her enter first and I follow? If I enter first with AP, does it affect her H4 status or visa? Can she use H4 visa to enter US without relation to my using AP before or after.

-You can not use AP anymore until your wife files I-485. You need to apply for the H-1 visa to reenter US. If you use AP, your wife will lose the H-4 status and the H-4 visa will also be void and thus, she can not use the H4 visa to enter US.
