我有一好友，2009年拿到綠卡，2011年後回中國工作，但在美國一直有自住房貸和駕照
等。他2011，2012年多次回美，可是自去年5月14號以來沒有入過境，現在持有的
reentry permit已經二月份過期，目前持有的Form N-470 還沒有過期。他有些擔心自
己的綠卡身份，請問他是否需要盡快回美，以保持綠卡身份？是否一定需要再申請
Reentry permit?
-He must return to US before May 14 this year to renew the reentry permit. N-470 is not helpful at all to his overstay in China (N-470 is for the physical presence for US citizenship application only). Otherwise, his green card will be invalid automatically.
