On page 4 of Instruction for Form I-131, it states (upper left corner):
.......
E. If you travel before the advance parole document is issued, your application will be considered abandoned if:
1. You depart the United States; or
2. The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application.
-The point is your AP renewal was approved (USCIS did not consider your application abandoned), and the approval is of course valid and thus, you can use it for next travel (after it is approved).
