I used my OPT to get the current driver's license from the DMV early this year. The driver's license will expire in the mid of Dec., which is the end date of OPT. I went to the DMV today to renew or extend it for two months, saying that I have two months grace period after that end date. They viewed my I-20 and told me that the end date of OPT is the date until which I can use my driver's license. They will not extend my driver's license unless I provide a document to prove that I have the two months grace period. Does it mean I need an extra document from ISSS office of school, such as a new I20?
