I'm a J1 visitor and my son is in a high school here with J2 visa. He will go to university next year, I have one question about J1 waiver, if He get F1 visa, I plan go back China to work 2-year for the waiver, I just want to know if my son also get J waiver.
-No. His J2 is still subjected to the two-year home residence limitation even if you stay in China for two years. So, you only can get the J-1 waiver and thus he can get the J2 waiver automatically with you.
