A. You will receive a decision on any properly filed motion. Filing a motion, however, does not suspend the execution of any decision made in your case or extend a previously set departure date.
-MTR can be used for different types of cases. If you were under removal proceedings (i.e. deportation) and your MTR to the immigration court, then your may still be deported during the MTR. But in your case you file MTR to USCIS, then the above statement you cited means if your MTR fails later, your illegal stay will be counted from the date your case is denied, not from the date your MTR is denied. But if your MTR won, your status will be fine. You of course can stay in US legally during the MTR pending (i.e. you will not be arrested and not be deported by US Dept.of Homeland Security during the MTR pending).
