本人理解不夠 about why irrelevant .

-That means as long as you are qualified to work no matter what status you have (e.g. H1, O-1, or use EAD).

如果我不能用 EAD 的話, 我若換工作, 必須要: 1) transfer H1B (regular or non-profit) ?

or 2). apply a different type of working visa ?

我現在是 regular H1B visa in the 7th year.

-You can transfer your h1 or just use EAD.
