I'm in 485 pending. I got I140 approved after laid off 3 months in 2000, But I got another job right away,I started another labor certification... and I didn't file 485 till last year, because my lawyer said I couldn't continue. and then last year I met another lawyer for my wife's H1B, and he said he helped some people got GC after changing job. I checked the immigration law, and there is no clear statment about this kind of issue, so I just filed 485 and waiting, I don't know if this could work or not.
