Just as what is advertised "backup".
Certain benefits here:
1. Chances to get long time, multi-entry visa instead of 6 months, 2 entry visa got in China.
2. Once get citizenship, you can work freely in US.
3. Canadian passport is one of the most welcome and convient passport in the world.
4. Canadian Maple Card is easier to apply than US greencard.
